The Lighthouse Factory was jointly selected by the World Economic Forum and McKinsey & Company as a demonstration of "digital manufacturing" and "Globalization 4.0".

In the latest list, five are from China. They are: Green Factory in Yibin, China; Haier Refrigerator factory in Qingdao, China; Midea Shunde Factory in Shunde, China; Sany Heavy Industry's Changsha factory in Changsha, China; and Western Digital's Shanghai Semiconductor Back-end factory in Shanghai, China.

National Bureau of Statistics: The first three quarters of the total output value of the construction industry 20,624.6 billion yuan!
