Xiaohe International Convention and Exhibition Center, practitioner of green mission
Located in the core of Xiaohe Industrial Park, Shanxi Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone, Xiaohe International Convention and Exhibition Center, as the largest convention and exhibition center with the best equipment and the most complete functions in Shanxi Province, effectively adopts BIM technology and prefabricated construction. Through practicing green concepts, Xiaohe International Convention and Exhibition Center has further upgraded the quality of urban life and successfully become one of the boosters of urban development.
Shanxi Xiaohe International Convention and Exhibition Center consists of three parts: north group, middle group and south group, with a net land area of 510,900 square meters, a total construction area of 281,000 square meters, a net exhibition area of about 100,000 square meters, and 5,000 international standard booths planned and designed. Among them, the north group is the largest of the three groups, with a total construction area of about 113,000 square meters, consisting of seven standard heavy exhibition halls, each of which has a net exhibition area of about 9,700 square meters and a total of 3,528 booths.
Design inspiration
The general design plan of Xiaohe International Convention and Exhibition Center is undertaken by Zhao Yuanchao, chief architect of Northwest China Architecture Design and Research Institute Co., LTD. The design intention is taken from the elements of the mountains and the rough Yellow River on the land of Sanjin. In order to realize the architectural artistic effect, the convention and exhibition center has adopted a long-span concave roof design form.
The beauty of fabricated steel structure, the application of new roof integration technology
The seven exhibition halls on the north side of Shanxi Xiaohe International Convention and Exhibition Center all adopt the column-free building pattern of steel structure and the application of ultra-large curved metal roof. The roof space span of each exhibition hall is as long as 72 meters, which is realized through the concave triangular shuttle steel truss, and the local buckling constraint supports are set to improve the stiffness of the overall structure. The seven exhibition halls are connected as a whole by steel trusses that slide at one end and hinged at the other to achieve a perfect combination of structural force and architectural beauty.
The north group adopts the popular aluminum-zinc steel plate system and skylight system in recent years, which not only perfectly realizes the visual effect of the building form, but also ensures the stability and economic applicability of the overall structure. The aluminum plated zinc steel plate has the characteristics of high strength, good wind resistance and small thermal expansion and cold contraction coefficient, which provides a good guarantee for the stable performance of the building. The non-sliding fixed seat, fixed seat and plate rib participate in the bite, and the cross section is larger and not easy to deform, which can bring stronger wind resistance. The metal plate crest is higher, and it is suitable for the upper decorative panel and photovoltaic panel, which can ensure the drainage capacity and further increase the overall stability. At the same time, in order to cope with the cold weather conditions in the north, the project has set up a snow melting system in the roof gutter, and through the laying of heating cables in the storm drain and rainwater outlet, the drainage system can also operate normally in the cold climate.

As a provincial key project and the fourth batch of prefabricated building demonstration projects in Shanxi Province, Xiaohe International Convention and Exhibition Center has integrated many green building concepts in the design and construction, and fully considered the sustainable development of the project by using existing mature technologies and high and new technologies to help realize building resource conservation and energy conservation and emission reduction.
Light storage direct soft technology
In the north of Xiaohe International Convention and Exhibition Center, the effective area of photovoltaic roofing is about 30,000 square meters, and the annual power generation is expected to reach 6.99 million KWH, which can replace 2136 tons of standard coal; At the same time, the photovoltaic room is equipped with an energy storage device to store photoelectric resources during the day and provide a stable supply for building lighting at night. And the north group uses the photovoltaic power generation panel on the roof to convert solar energy into continuous and stable direct current energy, which is transported to the single transformer and distribution room by the DC trunk line to provide high-quality DC power supply for the underground garage and energy island lighting in the middle group.
Sponge city design
Based on the special drainage planning, flood drainage planning and relevant requirements of Taiyuan sponge City, the project made overall consideration based on the above planning indicators. Combined with the site characteristics, the project improved the overall target value by setting permeable pavement, permeable asphalt, ecological parking space, grass ditch, sunken green space, rainwater storage pond and other sponge facilities.
Renewable energy utilization
Xiaohe International Convention and Exhibition Center adopts shallow ground source heat pump technology and medium and deep non-interference geothermal technology. Shallow ground source heat pump technology is an emerging green energy saving technology. This project sets 1016 holes of shallow geothermal well with heating capacity of 1950kw, and sets 3 holes of middle-deep non-interference geothermal well with heating capacity of 1450kw. Because the underground temperature is very stable and the temperature is high, compared with the atmospheric environment as the heat source of the heat pump and the heating and cooling system of coal and fuel oil, the heat pump efficiency of extracting heat or discharging heat from the soil is greatly improved, and the emission of combustion products and the amount of refrigerant are also reduced, which is very beneficial to environmental protection.
