On the morning of August 11, China's self-developed large double-engined unmanned transport plane carried out its first flight test at the Fengming general Aviation Airport in Zigong, Sichuan province, and its maiden flight was a complete success. This is currently in accordance with the market demand to develop the largest, domestic large unmanned transport aircraft, wingspan 16.1 meters, 4.6 meters high, with 12 cubic meters of loading space, 2 tons of commercial capacity. At the same time, the aircraft also has the characteristics of easy handling, high reliability, high safety and high intelligence, which provides support for China's expansion of air cargo new scenarios and the creation of a new low-altitude economic smart logistics business.

 

In recent years, "low-altitude economy" has stood on the policy tuyere and has great potential for development. In the National Two Sessions in 2024, low-altitude economy was written into the government work report as a "new growth engine", and then local industry promotion policies quickly kept up. As a representative of new quality productivity, low-altitude economy has become an important direction to cultivate and develop new momentum.

The flight test site is located in Zigong Aviation Industrial Park in Sichuan Province. Since its establishment in July 2015, the industrial park has focused on the development of general aviation and drone industry with the drone industry as a breakthrough, and has become the only civil unmanned aviation test zone in Southwest China and the drone industry innovation center in Sichuan Province. The industrial park has gathered a number of leading UAV enterprises such as Sichuan Tengfeng Technology Co., LTD., whose products cover large and medium-sized UAVs, involving UAV research and development, manufacturing, operation, service and testing.

 

Industrial park, Sichuan Tengfeng Technology Co., Ltd. scientific research and production test base phase II plant project was officially completed this year, adjacent to Zigong Lantian Airport and Fengming airport, the project covers an area of 104 acres, a total construction area of 45,000 square meters, is the key project of Zigong City. In the three monomers constructed by wiskind, the single building area of the 1# final assembly workshop is 20598.40 square meters, the building height is 17.85m, and the roof structure is composed of a single span length of 72m*125m two-span grid structure, which is one of the largest single-span roof grid structure in Zigong City and even Sichuan Province. The roof enclosure adopts SR6® upright lock joint roof system independently developed by wiskind, 450° lock joint, double ridge and four slopes, no parapet wall with color plate hanging gutter. The roof system has obtained the American FM certification test and the Chinese standard static and dynamic wind resistance test, through high-performance sliding supports and lock joints to provide superior wind and waterproof performance, up to the first level of waterproof, to provide more than 360 degrees of comprehensive durable protection for the project.

Both # 2 and # 3 units feature this roofing system from wiskind. Plus. The wall cladding system of these three monomers uses the WP3 wall cladding, also from Wiskind, which has wide lines and expressive facades, ideal for large buildings.
